One of these days I will get REALLY, REALLY good at blogging. Until then, I will blog on my “in between moments.” So horrible, I know! Let’s get away from that though and focus on this awesome couple and their completely beautiful wedding at Hidden Oaks Retreat Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
I met Natassia through her stepmom. I love my work connections! My nursing career always leads me to my amazing photography clients! I had worked with her stepmom for years so I was so excited to get the call to do their wedding. Natassia, Taylor and I had met up a month before to do their engagement photos. During that session, Taylor told me all about how he proposed to her. He sent her on a scavenger hunt using GPS coordinates. I thought that was sooooooo awesome! When I arrived at the venue, I loved seeing important GPS coordinates around telling their love story. I was solo this wedding, so I got to spend time with the bride and groom while they got ready. Then, THEN, they decided against a 1st look, but they chose to exchange letters beforehand. It was such a special moment, but I felt like I was intruding just a little bit!!!
The ceremony was just as beautiful as the getting ready portion and the letter exchange. Hidden Oaks is a gorgeous venue!
We did their wedding party portraits and couple portraits as the sun was setting on that beautiful November Friday evening.
Finally the party got to begin after all the lovey dovey posed stuff was out of the way! Their reception fit their personalities perfectly! Their first dance was choreographed. They had taken dance lessons and all their guests gathered close with candles. After the dance, DJ Alan Paul (Original member of NO DOUBT!!!!) had everyone blow out their candles and make a wish for the couple. It was seriously so special to witness that! We finished off the night with a couple portraits of the two of them with me outside looking in. I had such a good time with Taylor, Natassia and their families! I even stayed after to help clean up. hehe
Congrats to the happy couple!
