Aaron + Paulene | Hidden Stone House 10 Year Anniversary Session

There’s this house up in the hills of Winchester, CA that I just love. If you’re not familiar with Winchester, it’s really close to Temecula. I like to call this shack my Hidden Stone House. I like to call it “my little secret.” My friend found it and was so amazing as to share its location with me.

This session was very spur of the moment. It took place at sunrise on Super Bowl Sunday. A little back story…I HATE football. I bet I just lost a lot of you. Please don’t leave me now! The day before, I had put out a model call asking for an engaged couple to shoot at sunset. Little did I know that my hubby had made plans for us to be out of town at that exact time so I had to change it to sunrise. Paulene had answered my call. I knew that they had just celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary. They would be perfect!

I had told Paulene and Aaron about this little house during one of their family sessions. She asked if we could shoot here and I figured it would be perfect for sunrise. That morning it was pretty cold. I showed up in pants and a sweatshirt. I felt so bad for her when she got out of her car in a skirt, but she looked so pretty. Paulene is one of those natural beauties and with Aaron next to her…they are just a gorgeous couple! I think the cold temperatures helped them get into the snuggle mode a little bit faster!

Once the chill in the air had kind of gone away (who I am kidding…I was still freezing hehe), I think they were able to relax and have a bit more fun. They did some dancing and piggyback rides. They raced down the road towards me. When we were all done, Aaron said it was the most fun he had had during one of our photo sessions. Yeeeeeeessssss!
