This is Me
I started my photography journey thanks to a website called Flickr and a 365 project. I took a picture of myself every day for a year. For me, it turned into a journal of what my life was like that year. I experimented with textures and cloning. That project evolved into family sessions for my family, friends, and coworkers. I am self-taught, except for learning to shoot manual from my friend, Theresa. We spent 20 minutes in a riverbed one afternoon while she taught me what to do. I have 2nd shot a lot of weddings which has taught me to pay attention to details. The rest is history!
My husband and I have 4 kids together. We moved to the Temecula area in 2015. We love it here. What drew us to the area was actually the landscape. We grew up in the High Desert so we were excited to see a little more green for half the year. I am also a labor and delivery nurse. I’ve been delivering babies since 2005. It is such a rewarding career, but does have its challenges!
Currently, I have an obsession with “romantic elegance.” I love jewel tones and shades of orange. I am not a morning person or a night person. Haha! I’m more of a middle-of-the-day gal! I could probably live on coffee (French Vanilla or a tall nonfat Mocha WITH whip) and French fries. I own way too many plants. Wait…did I just say that? Is that possible? Nah, unless you ask my husband. I’m just supplying my house with a lot of oxygen and lots of greenery!
