Grand Central Market Engagement Session

Anthony and Therese are probably two of the biggest foodies I think I have ever met! From the moment they booked their wedding and we started talking about their engagement session, they knew they wanted to do it somewhere involving food. I loved the idea because that means I got to eat too! I’m always stuck in a food bubble so I tried some new foods and didn’t mind it at all!

I met them at their house and then we rode together to DTLA. I always encourage this because it gives you a bit more time to talk and get to know each other while you’re stuck in traffic. We started our session in Grand Park with their French Bull Dogs and oh my gosh their dogs! SO DANG CUTE! I can’t wait to see them again at the wedding. Therese’s family then took the pups so we could continue our walk down to Grand Central Market.

Once we got to Grand Central Market, we went just inside and they thought about getting a beer, but instead went for the candy counter. I guess Candy is Dandy! The owner let me go behind the counter while Anthony was choosing his candy. Hey…it never hurts to ask!

After dessert, it was time for dinner! We went over to Sari Sari and ordered Filipino rice bowls and beer. It was a great break and a delicious meal. That was the first time I had eaten it. I told you…I live in a food bubble! We spent a little more time walking around in there, then moved outside to finish our session across the street.

Across the street from Grand Central Market is this really cool building that I decided to take advantage of. Turns out it’s the back of Maccheroni Republic. It was perfect for the end of the session and some cuddles on the ground, Anthony whispering in her ear and piggy back rides…although I don’t know how he did that after just eating dinner and drinking a beer!

We drove home after that, in that horrendous LA traffic, but it went so quickly because we talked about food the entire trip. Hahaha. They were planning on going out to eat as soon as they dropped me off. I joked with them about how they could eat again so soon! I’m pretty sure they told me that what we had eaten was just a “snack.” They exclaimed again “We’re foodies!”

I’m looking forward to dinner at this wedding and of course to seeing these two again.
