Shay, Matthew and I met down at Ocean Beach in San Diego, CA. I had always wanted to shoot at Sunset Cliffs and this was my opportunity! We spent a little while at the cliffs talking about how long they had been together, how they met and their upcoming September wedding.
Shay and Matthew have been together for 7 years. They’ve spent many summer days at this beach. In fact, one of the places I photographed them in front of, Ace Tattoo, had a very special meaning for them. One day they had gone to Ocean Beach, spent the day drinking mimosas & enjoying the sunshine. Towards the end of the day, they found the tattoo shop and decided they would each get a tattoo. We drained every last second of light out of the day and got some amazing photographs to document it. I am so looking forward to their Karl Strauss Brewery wedding.
